Our camp is completely community-run which allows visitors to experience true cultural immersion. The community of Mihunga Village invites you to come stay with us in our traditional accommodations and sample our delicious Ugandan cuisine. Our camp is named after the regional Turaco bird and found in the stunning Rwenzori region, the ideal place to embark on the natural and cultural adventure of a lifetime!

The camp uses no electricity to conserve energy resources
Generated profits go towards conservation and reforestation projects
All guides and staff are local; this generates employment
All goods are purchased/sourced locally
Locally made handicrafts are sold at the camp and local dance groups are encouraged to preform in order to generate income for the community.
Camp income has been used for various community projects such as a recent pig-keeping project
Generated income has also helped develop a microfinance
