Yebo Safari Camp

Location: Bordering Murchison Falls National Park

Yebo Safari Camp's beautifully thatched huts scattered around the hot savannah are a wonderful place to stay for those travelers who want a taste of life in rural northern Uganda. The huts - or bandas - have been constructed using natural, local materials in traditional Ugandan style, giving the feel of an real Ugandan village! This traditional architecture combined with water saving techniques and the lack of electricity also make this one of the most environmentally-friendly accommodations around.

As well as providing an authentic experience, Yebo Safari Camp is ideally located on the edge of Murchison Falls National Park, and is the perfect starting point for wildlife safaris or boat trips to the magnificent Murchison Falls.

Yebo also has a camping area, and tents are available for those who need them. The warm evenings can be spent watching cultural performances by the nearby Mubako community, or simply gazing at the stars in the clear night sky.

Room Description

There are four traditional bandas with mud walls and thatched roofs, making them both attractive and keeping them cool.

Three bandas have twin beds, and one large banda sleeps four.

All have shared bathrooms with composting toilets and bush showers.

There is also a camping area - guests can use their own tents, or tents and equipment can be provided for up to 30 people.
