Semliki Safari Lodge
Location: 375Kms west of KampalaSemliki Safari Lodge is situated in the Great Rift Valley. It is a spectacular open plan lodge, with eight luxury en-suite tented rooms. We have a magnificent pool area where guests can relax between and after activities.
Guests at Semliki can enjoy scrumptious meals throughout the day and an incredible three course, candle lit dinner every night while listening to the magical sounds of Africa.
Our wide variety of exiting activities includes community tours, chimp tracking, picnics and private dinners, open vehicle game drives and scenic boat trips on Lake Albert to glimpse the majestic Shoebill.
Semliki is also one of the few lodges in Uganda that offers night game drives, where you can view nocturnal animals that are rarely seen.
The lodge is also easily accessible from Kampala and we have an airstrip nearby.

Responsible Travel
- We have a generator so we only use electricity a few hours a day and we get our water from a bore hole. Being in the middle of reserve forest we are mindful of the vegetation and its protection.
- Semliki currently helps a local village close to the reserve. We offer villagers training in wood carving, weaving and bee keeping. In return Semliki will purchase these products and then sell them in our souvenir shop.
- All our staff are from the local area.
- We purchase about 95% of our stock locally. We have a farmer who supplies us with fruits and vegetables, and we also support the local market in Fort Portal.
- We want to showcase our area's rich heritage so we host dramas, plays, and youth performances led by community members.
